Pie vs. Cake...PIE wins!

So the kids and I made Scott a birthday cake....and I decided to try a double layer cake! Well let's just say it's not as easy as it looks! The cake stuck to the pan and wouldn't come out. Then when it did, it was in 2 pieces and the frosting can was mistaken. It does not cover enough for two 9 inch cakes! Luckily it tasted better then it looked ;-) The homemade from scratch pumpkin pie last week tasted much better and looked "normal". So I guess cakes are just not my thing!
